How to clear the browser cache.

Safari*

Clear the Cache

  1. Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, select "Clear History..."
  2. In the "Clear" pulldown menu, select "all history"
  3. Click the "Clear History" button.
  4. Quit & relaunch Safari.

* Remember, Safari is not a supported browser for Synergy. Please use Firefox ESR or Chrome


Safari on iPad

Click Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data

Firefox

Clear the Cache

  1. Mac - Press the Command, Shift and Delete keys. PC - Press the Control, Shift and Delete keys.
  2. Set the Time range to "Everything"
  3. Check the boxes for: Cookies, Cache, Active Logins & Offline Website Data
  4. Click the Clear Now button
  5. Quit & relaunch Firefox.

Disable Caching

  1. Type about:config in the address bar
  2. If you get "This might void your warranty!", click the "I accept the risk!" button.
  3. Type use-cache in the Filter box
  4. Double-click on network.http.use-cache: value will be set to false. Double-clicking again will re-enable the cache.
     

Chrome

Clear the Cache

  1. Mac - Press the Command, Shift and Delete keys. PC - Press the Control, Shift and Delete keys.
  2. Make sure the "Time range" menu is set to "All time"
  3. Check the boxes for:
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
  4. Click the "Clear data" button.

Clear the Cache

  1. In the Tools menu, select Internet Options
  2. Under the General tab in the Browsing history section, click the Delete... button
  3. Uncheck everything except Temporary Internet files
  4. Click the Delete button

Disable Caching

  1. In the Tools menu, select Internet Options
  2. Under the General tab in the Browsing history section, click the Settings button
  3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, change the setting to check for new versions of stored pages to "Every time I visit the webpage"
