Resolving issues around odd color tints on images projected with an Epson projector. Pink and magenta tints are common but it may be another color.

Problem

Sometimes you may notice that the image projected by your Epson projector has a color tint to it, often pink or magenta. 

Possible Solutions

One likely issue is that you have a broken pin or wire, either on the white adapter you plug into your Apple computer/laptop or the VGA cable to the projector. Borrow both items from a neighbor with a working projector setup and test them one at a time on your own computer. Once you have found the component from your setup that isn't working, purchase a replacement.

If you ruled out a faulty pin/wire using the steps above, another possibility is that the projector has overheated, likely due to a clogged air filter. If this is the case, the projector will need to be replaced.
