Use Screen Time Feature to Manage a Student's iPad Screen Time

This article contains videos on how to enable Screen Time on an iPad for the first time, enable the Down Time feature, and block specific websites.
How to Enable Screen Time
- Select Settings → Screen Time
- Select Turn On Screen Time → Continue
- Select This is My Child's iPad
- Select Set Downtime if you don't want your child to use the iPad from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Otherwise, select Not Now
- Select Not Now at the App Limits screen → Continue

How to Block a Specific Website
With Screen Time enabled
- Select Settings → Screen Time
- Select Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Toggle the Content & Privacy Restrictions switch to turn it on
- Select Content Restrictions → Web Content → Limit Adult Websites
- Under Never Allow category, add the specific website such as www.youtube.com

How to Enable Down Time Feature
With Screen Time enabled
- Select Settings → Screen Time
- Select Downtime
- Authenticate with your passcode (we cannot help recover or remove this passcode if you forget it)
- Turn on Downtime if you did not set it during the initial Screen Time setup.
- Set the Start and End time for when the iPad should not be used.

Set Up App Time Limit
With Screen Time enabled
- Select Settings >> Screen Time
- Select App Limits
- Select Add Limit

Select the appropriate categories that you want to set a timer on (The set timer is an accumulation of time used for all apps in the category)
- Click Add
- Select an appropriate time limit for the category
