Lightbulb? Red cross? Backpack Guy? A key to the student notification icons you may see in Synergy and TeacherVUE. Purpose Student notification icons are used to make teachers and staff aware of specific needs students may have around modified instruction or their health and safety. In order to maintain their impact, student notification icons are reserved for this purpose exclusively. Icon What it Means Icon What it Means ELL - Active Special Ed (Summary displayed with alert. Document stored in Synergy) ELL - Monitored Student is receiving TAG services. (Document stored in Synergy) Health condition - life threatening Student has a 504 plan (Document stored in Synergy) Student has a health plan document (Document stored in Synergy) Student has notes on file (Not stored in Synergy) Student is in the AVID program * Student is in the TWI program * Student is in athletics * Student is in the SRT/LIFTT program* NOTE: items with an * denote manual student program updated at school level. Synergy Login - 2 Factor/Multifactor Authentication (for TTSD Partners)
Note: TTSD Staff are not required to to do 2 factor authentication to log in to Synergy as they use "sign in with Google" and already to 2 factor to log into their Google account. This article only applies to non-TTSD staff: MITCH Charter, NWRESD employees etc..... After entering your Synergy username and password as usual, you will be prompted to request a code (the second factor) and then enter it. The default option is to receive this at the email address associated with your Synergy account. Optionally, your cell phone number can be added to your Synergy record and you can receive the code as a text. MITCH staff can ask their front office to add your cell phone #. How to 2 Factor 1. Enter your Synergy username & password as usual. 2. You will see a prompt similar to the one below. Note how the "request code" button is currently not active. 3. Select the way you want to receive the code. Note: The selection circles may or may not provide any feedback that they have been selected. You'll know you have made a selection when the "request code" button becomes active. 4. Request, then enter your code to complete your Synergy login.
