Buying Macbook/iPad Apps in Bulk
Describes the process for bulk quantity (20+) iTunes app purchases. Buying in bulk usually gives the user a 50% discount. This document outlines the steps for an employee to purchase 20 or more licenses of the same app for their Macbooks, iPads, or iPod Touches. You must purchase 20 or more licenses to qualify for discounted volume pricing. Most, but not all, apps offer a discount for volume purchases. Important! If the app offers individual student login, even if the app will work without logging in, we will need to get a student data privacy agreement (DPA) in place before proceeding with the purchase. Restore Notability Data from Google Drive to Notability App
Please see the Notability app section in the iPad Backup Instructions to setup Notability back up. This article is for restoring the backup data. This Knowledge Base article will show you how to transfer backed up Notability files or whole folders from your Google Drive to the Notability app. Make sure you have the Google Drive app downloaded on your iPad and that you are logged in. Open your Notability App 1. Once you are in the Notes section (all notes) Long Press the blue button "new" > tap on Import 2. Tap on Google Drive 3. Navigate to your Notability Folder in your Google Drive (normally it's titled Notability unless you renamed your Notability back up) > find the folder inside your Notability back up that you would like to import then tap on > 4. Select the Subject you would like to transfer your back up files to (bottom right hand corner shows the current folder/subject the files will be moved to - you can tap on the subject name to change or create a new subject) > tap Import All or manually select the files you want to transfer

iTunes / Apple ID: Creating an iTunes Account Without a Credit Card
Shows the steps for setting up a TTSD iTunes / Apple ID account (using your TTSD e-mail address) without entering credit card information. Resource Overview This document outlines the process for setting up an iTunes account using your TTSD e-mail address. You must be on your computer and not your iPad/iPod to successfully follow these instructions. 1. Open your browser to: https://appleid.apple.com/account 2. Complete form (including name, school address, etc) 3. Suggested: De-Select the three check boxes to receive additional information from Apple 4. Select “None” for “Payment Type” Do not put in your personal credit card information! 5. Complete the Billing Address (enter your name and your school address) 6. Click the “Create Apple ID” button 7. Check your TTSD email to receive your verification email. Follow the link to finish creating your Apple ID by logging into the site with your TTSD email and password you set for iTunes. Your TTSD iTunes / Apple ID account is a District account - Do NOT use your personal credit card information with this account, unless you are donating your purchases to TTSD.

Apple Classroom is a powerful tool for teachers to manage and interact with students' devices in a classroom setting. Here’s a quick guide on how to use it: Setting Up Apple Classroom Download and Install: Ensure you have the Apple Classroom app installed on your iPad (as a teacher) and that your students have the Classroom app on their devices. Sign In: Use your Apple ID to sign in to the Classroom app. Make sure you have the appropriate permissions set up in your school’s device management system. Create a Class: Open the Classroom app and tap on the "+" icon. Enter the class name and other details. Add students to your class (students need to be using iPads enrolled in your managed device system). Managing Your Class View Student Screens: You can see what apps and activities students are engaged in. This helps you monitor progress and engagement. Lock Devices: If you need students to focus, you can lock their devices, which will put them in a “locked” state until you unlock them. Send Links and Apps: You can send links to websites or open specific apps on all students’ devices simultaneously, making it easy to start lessons. Share Documents: Share PDFs or other documents directly with students. Guided Access: Lock students into a specific app for a focused learning session. Engaging with Students Start a Lesson: Initiate a lesson and guide students through tasks while monitoring their progress. Send Messages: Communicate directly with students through messages if they need help or clarification. Group Work: Assign students to different groups and manage their activities through the app. Ending Class End the Session: When the class is over, you can end the session to unlock devices and return them to normal use. i-Ready: My Path - "Looks Like There's a Problem Here" Error
A student can get the following error page when trying to work on My Path Lessons This could denote that a cheat script/extension was used and the student's account has been flagged for potential cheating. To confirm if a script/extension was used, send an email to i-ReadySupport@cainc.com asking them to check the student's log. Restore My Path Instruction i-Ready recommends discussing the importance of academic honesty with the student. The teacher should log into their i-Ready account Click on Management > Student Rosters > Manage Click on the + sign next to the student's name to expand their profile information There will be a yellow banner under the student information if the cheating flag has been applied. Click on More Information, then click Restore Instruction
