Basic Chromebook Use
Basic login and use of Chromebooks - including how to update your device. Login Students will login using their student email account credentials Email address is @ttsdstudents.org where is replaced with the student’s actual username. Password is the student’s school password. STAFF: Log in using their staff email account credentials = name>@ttsd.k12.or.us The desktop screen will appear similar to below if successful: Note the circled items in the bottom left corner. That is where the menu and apps can be accessed. From the left you have menu, chrome browser, google search, gmail, google docs/apps and YouTube. All of these are done through the chrome browser. UPDATE To update your Chromebook ChromeOS, How to update Chromebooks. Click the bottom right corner of the Chrome OS desktop. Select the Settings icon. Click About Chrome. Click Check for updates. To apply the update, click the arrow icon and select Restart to Update. Logout To logout, click the icon in the bottom right(1) then select `Sign Out`(2) as seen below:

Enterprise Enrollment for Chromebook
ALL Chromebooks at TTSD must be enterprise enrolled for management. If your Chromebook does NOT display the Managed by ttsdstudents.org, please inform your school technician. If this is a new Chromebook, please follow the instruction below to enroll the device into Enterprise Enrollment. 1. Select Let's Go 2. Select TTSD or TTSD-Guest 3. Select Accept and continue 4. Select Accept if you chose TTSD-Guest network 5. Do NOT sign in with your ttsdstudents.org student account. 6. Press Ctrl + Alt + E together 7. Enter your school device enrollment Google account (If you don't have this, please ask your school technician or contact Technology) 8. Please enter the Asset tag and Location information. (The asset tag has 5 digits on a red label marked with Property of Tigard Tualatin J23 School District. The location is the school abbreviation) 9. Select Done! 10. Your login page should have "Managed by ttsdstudents.org"

Zoom in or magnify your Chromebook screen
You can change your screen resolution, zoom in, or magnify your screen to find items on your Chromebook screen better. Make a page bigger or smaller You can make the page you look at bigger or smaller, but keep other parts of your screen the same size. Make the page bigger: Press Ctrl and +. Make the page smaller: Press Ctrl and -. Reset zoom: Press Ctrl + 0. You can also make all pages bigger or change the font size. Make everything on your screen bigger or smaller You can make everything on your screen bigger or smaller, which includes your row of apps and tabs, by changing your screen resolution. Make your screen bigger, decrease resolution: Press Ctrl + Shift and +. Make your screen smaller, increase resolution: Press Ctrl + Shift and -. Reset resolution: Press Ctrl + Shift + 0. Tip: On your touchscreen, you can touch and hold an area with 2 fingers, and then pinch open to zoom in, or pinch close to zoom out. Magnify your screen You can zoom in on your screen, like when you use a magnifying glass. Magnify your whole screen To quickly magnify your entire screen, press Ctrl + Search + m or press Ctrl + Launcher + m. To manage screen magnification: At the bottom right, select the time. Or press Alt + Shift + s. Select Settings Accessibility. Under "Display," turn on Full screen magnifier. Choose how you want to move around the magnified screen. Move around continuously: Turn Move screen continuously as mouse moves on. Keep your mouse centered: Turn Move screen keeping mouse at center of screen on. Move the screen when the mouse touches the edge: Turn Move screen when mouse touches edge of screen on. To choose your zoom level, next to "Fullscreen zoom level," select Down arrow . Tips: To move around, press Ctrl + Alt + Up , Down , Left , or Right . You can also press Tab to move from item to item on your screen. In full screen zoom mode on your touchscreen, use 2 fingers to move around the screen. Magnify part of your screen You can find the magnified section at the top third of your screen. Your default screen shows underneath. To magnify the top section of your screen, press Ctrl + Search + d or press Ctrl + Launcher + d. At the bottom right, select the time. Or press Alt + Shift + s. Select Settings Accessibility. Under "Display," turn on Docked magnifier. To choose your zoom level, next to "Docked zoom level," select Down arrow . To change the part that’s magnified, move your cursor or press Tab. Tip: When you type at the bottom section of your screen, it’s zoomed in at the top of your screen. Change the magnification level Increase magnification: Press Ctrl + Alt + Brightness up . You can also press Ctrl + Alt, then scroll with 2 fingers up on the touchpad. Chromebook Troubleshooting
For device not powering on Plug in the Chromebook Press Esc + [Refresh key]+ Power. The device will reset and go to Recovery Mode Press[Refresh key]+ Power. The device will restart and come back to the login screen. For network, power, and device issues. Powerwash a Chrome device: All account information and data stored on a Chrome device that isn't synced with Google Chrome Sync, such as photos, downloaded files, and saved networks, is deleted during the wipe process. Press and Hold - Esc + [Refresh key]+ Power. The device will reset and go to Recovery Mode Press Ctrl + D, then Enter to confirm that you want to turn off OS verification/Developer Mode. (Some devices may say that developer is not allowed. That is normal) Press Spacebar and Enter 2x again to confirm powerwash/secure mode. Chromebook will reboot, and continue to Welcome Screen Select Get Started and choose the TTSD network Select Continue Select Accept and continue Enter TTSD credentials Select Done For website and login issues Clear Browsing data On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click and then Delete browsing data. Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time. Select Cookies and Cached images Select Delete Data Open a new Chrome tab or restart your Chromebook
