Epson Projector Displays Solid Color Tint
Resolving issues around odd color tints on images projected with an Epson projector. Pink and magenta tints are common but it may be another color. Problem Sometimes you may notice that the image projected by your Epson projector has a color tint to it, often pink or magenta. Possible Solutions One likely issue is that you have a broken pin or wire, either on the white adapter you plug into your Apple computer/laptop or the VGA cable to the projector. Borrow both items from a neighbor with a working projector setup and test them one at a time on your own computer. Once you have found the component from your setup that isn't working, purchase a replacement. If you ruled out a faulty pin/wire using the steps above, another possibility is that the projector has overheated, likely due to a clogged air filter. If this is the case, the projector will need to be replaced.

Cleaning Your Epson Projector's Air Filter
How to prolong the life of your Epson projector by cleaning its air filter. Cleaning your projector’s air filter on a regular basis will help your projector lamp last much longer. Since lamps tend to get dimmer as they age and they are very expensive to replace, cleaning your air filter is a free way to extend the life of your lamp and the projector itself. Cleaning your air filter is as easy as 1, 2, 3…. Locate the air filter one the projector lens and remove it. Filter location will vary from one model to another, but they are often below the lens or on one side behind a protective grille. Use compressed air or just a good puff or two from your mouth to blow all of the dust from the filter. Reinstall the air filter. Bonus points if you set up a recurring monthly calendar event with a reminder to clean your filter!
